SERVICE ANIMAL POLICY:

We allow service animals out at Camp under the following conditions:

We must have 2 weeks advance notice if you are bringing a service animal with you. As a note, we only allow service dogs, emotional support animals of any other kind are not permitted at camp.

The dog must stay with your camper, on leash, at all times

If the dog causes a disruption to other campers or camp in general both your camper and the dog will be pulled aside. We will call you to come pick up the dog immediately before your camper can resume with camp activities and the dog will not be allowed back at camp. Please check our refund policy, as there are no refunds if your camper cannot return to camp.

We do fight quite a few monsters at camp (they can be pretty scary looking!) so if the dog happens to spook easily it’ll be best to leave them at home. You can visit our website at https://camphalfbloodaustin.org or https://instagram.com/chbaustin to get an idea of the monsters we fight.

It can be very hot at camp so that’s something to keep in mind and may not be a good fit for the dog. We do take water breaks often so your camper will be responsible for making sure the dog is adequately hydrated. Your camper will also be responsible for picking up after the dog during potty breaks.

For our demigods who cannot come to camp in person (we sell out early every year), we have created Camp Online, which is also counselor led and monster invaded, our brave group of demigods adventure together via zoom, learning fighting from martial arts masters, lore and history, art, teamwork and problem solving...and Mythomagic! They do the same quests as our in-person campers and have the full attention of our world-class staff.
