While it may sound strange, a Giant Earthworm did attack Camp Half-Blood Austin. The worm itself was about ten feet long and had a very angry disposition. It arrived during the Summer of 2019 during Session 8 as we struggled with the powers of eternal victory. As it loomed over our heads from the roof of the Dining Hall, it threatened to compost our biodegradable products, particularly the remainders of the fruit we eat during First Snack.
It took the mighty yell of the Ares Cabin and a few well-angled spears to bring the Giant Earthworm to its demise with the guts of the worm spilling down onto the victorious demigods below. Luckily enough for us, this Giant Earthworm did not regenerate in the way that smaller earthworms do.
The body of the Giant Earthworm was ceremoniously hung in the tree that also holds the Hades Lanterns but eventually disappeared. It is thought that maybe the corpse of the worm decomposed into compost along with the rest of our fruit peels.
