Mother of Bones

Mother of Bones approaches Camp Half-Blood Austin with a babble stone in hand

The Mother of Bones is a magical spirit that can only be seen by children and Olympians. I am only able to write this article because I met her during my years as a camper, prior to growing up. Her face is made of bone and surrounded by a collar of feathers. She wears a long black cloak that billows in the wind and wears simple short white gloves on her hands. She’s known to give us help in the form of Babble Stones, which she will place at a distance before walking even further away. You always know when the Mother of Bones arrives, even if you cannot see her, for her presence carries through the Camp in a haunting manner. Submitted by: The Archivist, Indiana Ward
