The Diary of H.G. Wells

The Diary of H.G. Wells is a leather-bound journal with black pages that contains the history of Camp Half-Blood Austin’s ongoing battle with The League of Machines and Monsters. The words inside of the journal are written in white, with corresponding sketches to show the history in intense detail. Very few people can read the contents of the journal, as it was written in code. The Diary of H.G. Wells was created to keep track of the League in whatever way the owner of the Diary’s needs dictates. The text and images create themselves to guide our effort to battle the League.

The Diary resurfaced as a problem in the Summer of 2015, when Courtney, a friend of camp, began to read it. However, this led to the history that was once stored within the pages to come to life inside (one of Courtney’s powers) of Mckinney Falls State Park. This problem was ultimately solved by the end of the summer, with the promise that we’d keep the Diary in storage until further notice. In 2020, the Diary of H.G. Wells was spotted in Demeter’s house where our Questers spent the Winter Solstice, and some League Insect Automatons were seen there too. Our Questers have reported that the Diary is currently missing, and needs to be recovered.
