The Mayan Calendar is an ancient artifact found by Patrol Instructors Livia and Troy after the events of the ORS investigation during Session 2 of the Summer of 2019. During the investigation, many ancient artifacts were lost from the Camp Half-Blood Austin Dining Hall, leading to those artifacts being found by counselors and instructors later in the summer.
This Mayan Calendar, in particular, led to a fight between Camp Half-Blood and Emperor Nero for control of the calendar’s power. When the blood of a demigod is poured on it, the demigod’s powers become amplified for a short period of time. For example, when Troy and Livia poured their blood across the stone, Camp Half-Blood Austin gained endless victory for a period of time. This is because Legatus Livia is a Child of Victoria. The effects did not last as long as we had expected since we discovered that Troy was not a Son of Victoria, but a Son of the Morrigan.
The Mayan Calendar has since been stored away on Olympus by Mr. D, but there is no telling when it may return to aid our demigods in their fight against evil.
