The Mother of Mystery is the leader of the local chapter of The Daughters of Mystery. It has been alluded to that there are other Mothers that act as the heads of their specific region. The Mother of Mystery that attacked Camp Half-Blood Austin often wears slim black cocktail dresses and insanely high heels. Her presence left every camper and counselor alike shrinking in their shoes. It should be known that the relationship between the Mother and the Daughters of Mystery is not a healthy one. She often berates them and expresses her disappointment in the young “Mysteries” in her care. The Mother of Mystery was powerful enough to stop Topher in his tracks, which was scary enough to see on its own. She was able to shape-shift into one other serpent-like form when she was in her most angry and vengeful state. She also tried to steal the items necessary for Quests, and it was hard to stop her from doing so. While we never got to see her full powers, there was enough potential that we hope to never run into her again.
