On Saturday, February 13th, a surprise birthday party was held for Camp Half-Blood Austin’s beloved Camp Director, Topher Bradfield. However, the true surprise was a very specific birthday present from the Goddess Aphrodite, Topher’s mother. This present was a book that would give Topher his Godly Animus, reinstalling him as the Minor God of Coffee and Summer Camps.
During the surprise birthday party, Aphrodite called upon campers and counselors alike to retell and recount stories of Topher that had touched their hearts. Stories included everything from eating paintbrushes to impersonations to small moments Topher had made these people feel special. With every story told as Aphrodite went down her list, Topher began to glow a rosy red, filled with Godly power.
With the process finished, Aphrodite asked Topher if he had received a delivery from a satyr by the name of Alecks, but Topher noted that nothing had arrived. Aphrodite mentioned that a book containing all of the memories shared should be en route and not to worry about it.
After the package confusion was cleared up, Aphrodite stayed behind to DJ a Valentine’s Day Prom Dance for the campers, who filled the night with incredible lip-syncing and dancing alike.
Yet, towards the end of the night, Topher announced a new series of Quests called QuestsX, in which teams of demigods would be sent on reconnaissance missions to retrieve objects such as the book that holds his Godly Animus and the Diary of H.G. Wells. With that, the inspired demigods left for the night, ready to receive their next announcements of when to assemble.
